Renewable bioplasticizer and melt viscosity enhancer. It is predominantly plant derived and enables polymers to be functional in standard processes such as injection molding, extrusion coating, thermoforming and cast films. It is highly concentrated to promote toughness and flexibility without sacrificing modulus while minimizing glass transition temperature reduction. It maintains high melt viscosity when processing PLA to enable high concentrations of inorganic mineral in compounds. It is compostable, biodegradable and is miscible with PLA and only minimally affects the clarity of PLA. Used as an additive for PLA which drastically increases the melting point of PLA to enable the compound to be useful in high temperature applications such summer time transit, automotive, credit card stock and electronic devices, containers, food service disposables, toys etc.
