Carbonate-based compound. Acts as a blowing agent. It is a dust-free, low-cost masterbatch. Releases non-toxic gases (carbon dioxide & water vapor) by means of thermally activated decomposition reaction that occurs during processing of thermoplastics. Exhibits controlled reaction, good dispersion, improved heat & noise insulation, better dielectric properties and improved impact-absorption. Stops gas formation any time when energy supply is interrupted. Offers density reduction (weight reduction). Enables production of foamed plastics for various applications including decorative effects and lighter plastics. Recommended dosage for various applications include 0.2-2.5% (plate & pipe), 0.2-2.5% (profile & film extrusion), 1.5-3.0% (blow molds) and 0.1-2.0% (cable sheathing) and 0.5-3.0% (internal gas pressure & weight reduction). Approved for food packaging.
