Natural composite of amorphous carbon and cryptocrystalline silica. It has a platelet-like structure. Improves gas impermeability. Reduces heat build-up, ensures low permanent set characteristics and enhances fatigue characteristics of vulcanizates. When combined with carbon blacks, it acts as a dispersant and ensures better distribution of carbon black. Offers potential savings due to its low apparent density. Suitable for the rubber industry.
