High performance sorbitol. Acts as an effective clarifying agent based on sorbitol. Reduces haze and enhances the clarity of PP through nucleation of the polymer. Leads to enhanced stiffness of the molded part and to shorter cycle time during the molding process. Creats a large number of small size spherulites (<1 µm) during the cooling of the PP melt, which leads to PP that has greatly improved clarity and reduced haze compared to non-clarified PP. Gives high transparency, improved mechanical properties, and heat resistance. Ideally used for food contact applications. Used for applications like housewares, storage cases, living hinge cases, thin-wall containers and disposable syringes, clarified PP blow molded bottles for pharmaceuticals, spices, juices, sauces, vitamins, and baby bottles, and for PP and PE polymers.
