Polytetrafluoroethylene. Acts as a flame retardant or anti-dripping agent. Provides improved non-stick properties and abrasion resistance. It is a white micro-powder PTFE of low molecular weight produced by thermal degradation. Possesses low coefficient of friction as well as low surface energy. It increases mold release and enhances tear resistance at elevated temperature. Used for elastomers.
