H-TEC™ HTMC9

H-TEC™ HTMC9 by Marshall Additive Technologies is a flame retardant. It is a low-cost, natural, consistent mixture of huntite, magnesium calcium carbonate, hydromagnesite and hydrated magnesium. It can tolerate temperature up to 250°C. Under fire exposure conditions, it absorbs heat and loses 54% of its weight as water and carbon dioxide to provide flame retardancy and smoke suppression. It shows synergism with ATH. Its bright white character allows use as an extender for titanium dioxide with a good surface finish. H-TEC™ HTMC9 is recommended for PVC, EPDM and polyolefins.
