Bis(1-octyloxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)sebacate. Acts as a non-basic hindered amine light stabilizer. It is based on an amino-ether functionality and has inherently low basicity. Possesses synergistic performance with other light stabilizers (UV absorbers, others). Used for flexible and rigid PVC compounds, polypropylene and TPO for automotive applications, thermoplastic elastomers, polyvinyl butyral, unsaturated polyesters, and acrylics. It is suitable in cases where conventional, strongly basic HALS can produce undesired interactions. Can also be used for plastics containing halogenated flame-retardants. The recommended use levels range between 0.05% and 0.5%, depending on the substrate, processing conditions, and performance requirements.
