BLS® 1710

BLS® 1710 by Mayzo is phenol, 2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-methyl. Acts as a UV absorber and light stabilizer. Exhibits strong absorption of ultraviolet radiation in the 300-400 nm region, low color contribution, good compatibility and solubility and is FDA cleared. It protects the polymers from UV radiation helping to preserve the original appearance and physical integrity. BLS® 1710 is compatible with PVC, styrenic polymers, unsaturated polyesters, acrylics, and polyvinyl butyral. Recommended dosage is 0.1-0.5% in plastics. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
