BNX® 565

2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-(4,6-bis(octylthio)-1,3,5-triazin-2-ylamino)phenol. Acts as antioxidant and thermal stabilizer. BNX® 565 is non-discoloring, non-staining, and multifunctional. It is highly effective to prevent gel formation and discoloration in unsaturated elastomers, even at reduced concentrations vs. conventional antioxidants. Possesses high molecular weight and low volatility. Used for unsaturated elastomers such as polybutadiene, polyisoprene, styrene-butadiene rubber, and styrenic block copolymers such as SIS and SBS. Can also be used for rosin ester tackifier resins. The recommended concentrations range from 0.02 to 1%.
