Iriotec® 8208

Iriotec® 8208 by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt Germany is a laser sensitive granulate. It allows for a dark marking that is not dependent on the polymer.
  • The advised dosage is 1-3%, with a processing temperature above 160°C.
  • It has the best contrast and marking speed in the class, as well as the widest process window.
  • Antimony trioxide (65-75%) is encapsulated in microspheres and embedded in an impermeable polymer matrix (polyethylene, carrier; 25-35%).
  • Iriotec® 8208 can be pre-compounding, used as a dry blend, or given using gravimetric or volumetric dosage.
