Iriotec® 8210

Iriotec® 8210 by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt Germany is an antimony-free laser marking additive especially developed for use in sensitive applications like food contact and toys. It enables a dark marking independent of the polymer. It is composed of laser active material (40-60%) and polyethylene carrier (40-60%). It can be pre-compounded, used as dry blend or fed by gravimetric or volumetric dosing. It is recommended to incorporate laser granule in a masterbatch or in a compound due to its low dosage level. It is heat stable up to 250°C. It can be processed by injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, cast films and blown films. Iriotec® 8210 is suitable for PP, PE, TPU and PC. Recommended dosage level is 0.7-1.0%.
