Iriotec® 8850

Iriotec® 8850 by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt Germany is a laser additive for dark markings. It is composed of rutile titanium dioxide (45-65%) and tin-antimony oxide (35-55%). It is recommended for technical aliphatic polymers such as PA and POM. It can be used in other polymers to create dark markings with a very smooth surface at high laser speed. It shows good performance in silicone rubbers. Iriotec® 8850 is stable in all polymers under normal processing conditions. Recommended dosage level for silicone rubbers is 0.5%, for thermoplastic polymers is 0.1-0.5% (general) and 0.3% (standard).
