UltraGuard™ Solutions

UltraGuard™ Solutions by Milliken is a line of performance additives which enable improved moisture barrier of polyethylene films. They facilitate mono-material flexible food packaging with optimized water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), providing enhanced food protection, material savings and potential shelf life extension. They allow elimination of metallized layers which brings the possibility of transparent packaging and enhanced sustainability. They form a tortuous path in polyethylene that can cut the transmission rate of any substance (e.g. O₂, VOC’s, grease and solvents) that pass through the packaging by 20-60%. They offer enhanced flexibility of design to converters looking for high barrier films and controlled crystallization. They provide better product quality and enable more recyclable packaging with reduced thickness. They are suitable for manufacturing collapsible HDPE tubes used in packaging for cosmetic, healthcare and industrial products. UltraGuard™ Solutions are used in light-weighting lamination films, injection molded, compression molded and blow molded parts.
