LUCANT™

LUCANT™ by Mitsui Chemicals acts as a lubricant, plasticizer and processing aid. It is a non-polar, hydrocarbon-based synthetic oil to be used as a viscosity modifier as well as defoaming agent for thermosetting elastomers including urethane and epoxy. It also functions as a flexibilizer to give additional value to EPDM and TPS compounds. Possesses high flash as well as ignition point and exhibits little or no quality change when exposed to acid and alkali. Offers heat & low-temperature resistance, excellent chemical resistance and high shear stability. LUCANT™ is characterized by wide operating temperature, excellent thickening efficiency, thick oil film thickness and low pour point. Suggested for processing by extrusion. Suitable for automotive driveline gear oil systems including transmissions & differential gears as well as lubricants and grease for industrial use. Provides weather stability, anti-fouling characteristics, damping and low migration properties. Rubbers and elastomers using LUCANT™ are applicable to automotive parts sealing materials, industrial conveyer belts and OA rolls.
