Niax™ catalyst EF-600

Niax™ catalyst EF-600 by Momentive is a low odor, tertiary gel amine, designed to minimize or eliminate amine emissions in automotive interiors. The non-volatility of this amine catalyst is the result of molecular design and high molecular weight. This give affinity toward the chemical structure of the final urethane polymer. It is delayed and can be used as a sole catalyst in most formulations. In this case, the use level can be relatively high. It gives an extended cream time, smooth expansion and results in open foam. Niax™ catalyst EF-600 can also be used in combination with blow catalysts. This product is recommended as a candidate for consideration in pour-in-place applications. Adjustments to the formulation are recommended to ensure consistent density and indexing.
