Silquest™ A-1100 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is gamma-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. It is used in glass fiber. Acts as a coupling agent and adhesion promoter. It is a versatile amino-functional silane coupling agent used over a broad range of applications. Provides superior bonds between inorganic substrates and organic polymers. Enhances the flexural, compressive, and interlaminar shear strengths before and after exposure to humidity. Greatly improves wet electrical properties. As a phenolic resin binder additive, it imparts moisture resistance and allows recovery after compression. Silquest™ A-1100 Silane is compatible with thermoplastics, polyamides, polyesters, polycarbonates, epoxies, polybutylene terephthalate, and thermoset.
