Viscasil® 12M

Viscasil® 12M by Momentive Performance Materials is a water-white polydimethylsiloxane fluids with no suspended particulate matter. Inert and odorless fluids also exhibit excellent non-metallic lubricating and release properties while maintaining good heat resistance. Low viscosity-temperature change, wide temperature range, thermal stability, oxidation stability, chemical inertness, low flammability, low surface tension, shear stability, thermal conductivity and non-corrisive. Insoluble in water or the lower alcohols. Miscible in typical aliphatic and aromatic solvents. Used for damping, power transmission. Used as a lubricant for base fluid for grease for non-metallic lubrication. Used for polishes and household cleaners, cosmetics and toiletries. Used as an antifoam agent in petroleum, formulation of aqueous defoaming products. Used in textile for fiber and thread lubricants, softeners and modifiers. Viscasil® 12M is used as an paint and ink additives for flow control, gloss.
