AO-1425 by MPI Chemie is a high molecular weight, non-discoloring, multifunctional, phosphorus-containing phenolic primary antioxidant for processing and long-term thermal stabilization. It protects substrates against thermo-oxidative degradation. It inhibits the formation of free radicals thereby enhancing the photo- and heat-stability of polymers. This light-stable additive possesses good color retention.AO-1425 shows excellent compatibility with most substrates and high resistance to extraction. It imparts processing and good long-term thermal stability to polyolefins. It is used for polyesters, crosslinked elastomers (NBR), natural and synthetic tackifier resin and organic substrates. It is also used as an esterification catalyst for the preparation of rosin esters.
