AO-3114 by MPI Chemie is an effective, non-discoloring, sterically hindered phenolic primary antioxidant for processing and long-term thermal stabilization. It protects substrates against thermo-oxidative degradation. This additive shows light stability, good compatibility with most substrates, high resistance to extraction and low volatility. It inhibits the formation of free radicals thereby enhancing the photo- and heat-stability of polymers. It is used in combination with other additives such as co-stabilizers (thioesters, phosphites, phosphonites), light stabilizers and other functional stabilizers. AO-3114 is used in polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene, styrene homo- & copolymers, linear polyesters, PVC, polyamides and polyurethanes. Also, used in elastomers such as SBS, EPR, EPDM and organic substrates. Recommended for automotive applications.
