AO-549 (GS) by MPI Chemie is an antioxidant and bifunctional processing stabilizer. It also functions as alkyl radical scavenger during processing/compounding. This additive provides excellent heat resistance at elevated temperatures during polymer processing. AO-549 (GS) shows resistance to discoloration while minimizing fish-eye gels and die build-up. It inhibits the formation of free radicals thereby enhancing the photo- and heat-stability of polymers.
