FR-8010 by MPI Chemie is a brominated flame retardant containing a high level of aromatic bromine. It possesses strong thermal stability. It exhibits good UV resistance and low blooming characteristics. FR-8010 is widely used in styrenic polymers, engineering resins, wire & cable and elastomers. It is suitable for applications requiring color stability and high temperature applications. Recommended for thermoplastic, elastomeric and thermoset polymer systems such as HIPS, PBT, polypropylene, LDPE, EPDM, unsaturated polyester and epoxy. It is suitable for PE extrusion, molding, HDPE- & LLDPE general and building membrane applications. It is suitable for use in systems where recycling is anticipated.
