UV-1577 (MPI Chemie) by MPI Chemie is a low volatile hydroxyphenyl triazine-based UV absorber. It shows good compatibility with a variety of polymers, co-additives and resin compositions. It reduces the absorption of UV rays by the polymer matrix and hence reduces the rate of weathering. UV-1577 (MPI Chemie) allows polycarbonates and polyesters to achieve a high resistance to weathering. It is suitable for polyalkene terephthalates & naphthalates, linear & branched polycarbonates and modified polyphenylene ether compounds. Also, used in polymer blends & alloys such as PC/ABS, POM, PC/PBT, PPE/IPS, PPE/PA, copolymers, reinforced, filled and/or flame retarded compounds which can be transparent, translucent and/or pigmented. It is used in polymers containing catalyst residues due to its low tendency to chelate. Recommended for PC housings & frames, PET/PBT connectors, solar panels & frames, PBT/PET components, PET photovoltaic backsheet films, PET/PBA/PA frames, polyester automotive fiber, polyester building & construction fiber, polyester carpet & upholstery and window & door profiles applications.
