MPI Bright 300

2,5-thiophenediylbis (5-tert-butyl-1,3-benzoxazole). Acts as an optical brightener. It functions by absorbing invisible ultraviolet radiation and re-emitting it as visible light in the blue range of the spectrum. Has compatibility with many polymers due to its good thermal stability. Dissolving MPI Bright 300 into the fibre or polymer during the manufacturing process, ensures an increased brightness retention compared to conventional surface treatment. It provides a permanent and brilliant, bluish white color. MPI Bright 300 is designed to mask the yellowish cast sometimes observed in plastics and fibres after high temperature processing operations. It offers great improvement to the whiteness degree in polyester, nylon, and textiles.
