Bright 450 (KSN) by MPI Chemie is a fluorescent whitening agent. It is based on 2-[4-[2-[4-(benzoxazol-2-yl)phenyl]vinyl]phenyl]-5-methylbenzoxazole. This product absorbs invisible ultraviolet radiation and re-emits it as visible light in the blue range of the spectrum. Bright 450 (KSN) is designed to brighten colors or mask yellowing in plastics.
