UV-1164 (MPI Chemie) by MPI Chemie is triazine-based UV absorber. It dissipates the absorbed light energy from UV rays as heat by reversible intramolecular proton transfer. This reduces the absorption of UV rays by the polymer matrix and hence reduces the rate of weathering. It offers excellent UV & heat stability and good chemical resistance. UV-1164 (MPI Chemie) provides excellent UV protection for PET back sheet films and outstanding UV durability for PC and PET.
