UV-234 (900) by MPI Chemie is a high molecular weight hydroxyphenyl benzotriazole-based UV absorber. It imparts good light stability to a variety of polymers. This additive is highly effective for polymers processed at high temperatures such as polycarbonate, polyalkylene terephthalates, polyacetals, polyamides, polyphenylene sulfide, polyphenylene oxide, aromatic copolymers, thermoplastic polyurethane, polyurethane fibers, polyvinylchloride, styrene homo- and copolymers. For outdoor applications, UV-234 (900) is combined with hindered amine light stabilizer such as LS-123 (for acid catalyzed systems) or LS-292 (for 2K PUR). It is suitable for molded articles, films, sheets, fibers, automotive OEM, electrical components, PC housing & frames, PET/PBT connectors, solar panels & frames, polyamide connectors, housings, photovoltaics and PET packaging bottles. Also, used in artificial turf, automotive & building & construction fibers and PA/PP/polyester carpet & upholstery applications.
