UV-P (MPI Chemie)

UV-P (MPI Chemie) by MPI Chemie is hydroxyphenyl benzotriazole-based UV absorber. It imparts good light stability to a wide variety of polymers. UV-P dissipates the absorbed light energy from UV rays as heat by reversible intramolecular proton transfer. This reduces the absorption of UV rays by the polymer matrix and hence reduces the rate of weathering. It is used in styrene homo- & copolymers, engineering plastics such as polyesters, acrylic resins, polyvinyl chloride, other halogen containing polymers & copolymers (vinylidenes), acetals and cellulose esters. Also, used in elastomers, polycarbonate blends, polyurethanes and epoxy materials. UV-P (MPI Chemie) is recommended for electronic housings, building membranes, pipes & fittings, window & door profiles, decking & fencing and glazing applications.
