Silane USi 3301

?-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane. It acts as a coupling agent glass in fiber-reinforced or filler-modified plastics improves the dispersibility while reduces the sedimentation tendency. Also acts as an as adhesion promoter and a surface modifier for pigments, fillers, thermosets (unsaturated polyester, MMA), thermoplastics (polyesters and polyolefins) and elastomers. It is used as a constituent of glass fiber size and finish for glass fabrics in unsaturated polyester resins. It leads to major reduction in the melt viscosity of casting resins, as well as improvement in the mechanical properties. In addition, it also leads to a sizable increase in moisture resistance and greater resistance to acids and bases. Used as a co-monomer in polymers, it produces binders that exhibit much improved wet scrub, abrasion and scratch resistance.
