SAG® -005

Compatibilizer, repairing agent, hydrolysis resistance agent and coupling agent. It improves the compatibility of the immiscible polymers to ameliorate the morphology and resulting properties of the blends. Can repair molecular chains which reacts with degraded polymers to restore the original molecular weight, intrinsic viscosity, and melt viscosity as well as increases the melt strength of degraded polymers. SAG -005 improves processability of low quality recycled plastics essentially. It maintains an excellent anti-hydrolytic property under high temperature and high moisture conditions, which is attributed to the specific capability of endcapping and repairing of molecular chains. The epoxy group from SAG -005 reacts with hydroxide from filler such as glass fiber (as talcum powder, calcium carbonate) to improve the polymer physical and mechanical performance associated with the strong bonding between filling materials and polymeric matrix. It provides better surface gloss and crazing due to poor water stability. Used in engineering plastics alloys such as PA, ABS, PC, PBT, PC, ASA, SAN, PET and PPO. It is suitable for extrusion such as film, sheet, tape fiber, thermoforming and blow molding.
