GrafGuard® 280-50N

GrafGuard® 280-50N by NeoGraf Solutions is a lead- & chromium-free, non-halogenated flame retardant additive. This expandable graphite flake has an onset temperature of 280°C and offers high expansion volume. It forms an effective insulating char layer that protects the substrate from heat and oxygen. This non-toxic product exhibits superior performance at low temperatures, expands up to eight times more and enables ideal applications as an intumescent additive. It improves the performance of fire-retardant additives such as phosphates, magnesium hydroxide and nitrogen compounds. GrafGuard® 280-50N provides controlled surface pH, reduced smoke evolution, highest expansion volume and engineered particle size. Its performance does not degrade with time or environmental exposure. It is compatible with any catalyst system. This additive is used in plastics including polyethylene, polypropylene, high-impact polystyrene and plasticized PVC. It enables the building products and automotive industries to meet increasingly stringent fire safety codes for wood products, foam insulation panels, putties and structural panels. GrafGuard® 280-50N is ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2015 certified and complies with California Proposition 65, REACH & RoHS.
