Coad® 25 Zinc Stearate

Excellent general purpose zinc stearate. Also acts as an anticoagulant in latexes and an excellent mold release agent for phenolic, melamine, urea-formaldehyde, and other thermoset molding compounds. It appears as free flowing, very fine white powder with slight fatty odor and is insoluble in water. It is highly desirable whenever a very fine particle size and lower ash zinc stearate is preferred. It offers good melt clarity, heat stability, very low chloride content and low bulk density. Due to its high spreading power, it is used as a dusting powder for uncured rubber stocks where even, light coatings are desired.
