Chopped strand Mat M127

High-performance, general-purpose, multi-resin-compatible reinforcement used for boat hulls and decks, swimming pools, seating, corrosion-resistant equipment, chemical storage tanks, large diameter pipes, housings, shrouds and trays. Specially designed to achieve optimum results in polyester, vinylester, bisphenol A and isopolyester resin systems. Standard strand reinforcement made from cut fibers laid in a random pattern and bonded with a powdered, highly soluble resin binder. Designed for hand lay-up contact molding and other low-pressure processes. Provides excellent fiber distribution and mat weight uniformity, with outstanding dry handling and tensile properties. Produces great laminate clarity. The greater degree of porosity of the standard strand means rapid wet-through and wet-out with minimum air entrapment for easy rollout.
