Einar® 422

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Palsgaard
Einar® 422 by Palsgaard is a high-performance, food-grade, internal anti-fogging agent for cast and BOPP film. It is a blend of glycerol & propylene glycol esters made from fatty acids of vegetable origin and is produced in CO2 neutral factories. It is suitable for masterbatches based on polypropylene (PP).
  • Einar® 422 key features and benefits include:
  • It provides hot fog performance in PP food packaging.
  • It exhibits highly effective replacement for conventional anti-fog chemistries such as glycerol monooleate or sorbitan esters.
  • It shows no adverse effects on mechanical, optical and barrier properties.
  • It helps to avoid fogging from hot packaged food.
  • It keeps food wrap films and other types of packaging transparent.
  • It ensures a clear view of the packaged product by reducing the surface tension, which causes condensed droplets on the polymer surface to spread into a thin and transparent film.
  • It provides high heat resistance and low volatility.
  • Recommended loading level of the grade is 0.5-1.0% for random copolymer PP layer and 1.0-1.5% for homopolymer PP film.
  • It has a shelf life of minimum 24 months.
