Masurf® FS-1400

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Pilot Chemical

Discontinued : product no longer available

Masurf® FS-1400 by Pilot Chemical is characterized as a 100% active fluoroaliphatic stearate ester. It acts as a coupling agent for fillers, stabilizes plasticizer migration and crocking and can add friction reducing lubricity and unique release properties. It is a non-ionic fluorosurfactant with the ability to contribute chemical and moisture resistance, oil and grease resistance, adhesion to low-energy surfaces. It provides surface protection and soil and dirt resistance. It can be blended into the bulk of polymers (LLDPE) and allowed to diffuse to the surface, or coated directly onto the film surface for a dramatic reduction in surface energy. It can be used to reduce the wettablity of plastic films. With low typical use levels of 10-100 ppm, Masurf® FS-1400 functions at very low concentrations to contribute properties at very low cost. It is pre-registered in REACH. It is listed on TSCA, NDSL, IECSC, EINECS and New Zealand inventory.
