Polyterpene resin. Acts as a tackifier. It is a pale, inert, low molecular weight, thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin. Produced from high-purity alpha-pinene isolated from turpentine. It is characterized by its light color and color stability, acid-, alkali-, and water resistance. Offers high thermal stability. Possesses balance of cohesive and adhesive properties. Used in rubber compounding.
