SMC 5530

Roving for sheet molding compound, designed to contribute to Class “A” surface in polyester automotive applications. Contributes to the mechanical properties of most structural applications. Provides very rapid wet through and complete wet-out. Offers good chopability and fiber distribution, moderate SMC sheet loft. Exhibits high laminate mechanical properties, good pigmentbility and fiber whiteness. Used for polyester automotive applications which include horizontal and vertical panels, lift gates, spoilers, and grill opening panels.
