2,2-(2,5-Thiophenediyl) bis [5-(1,1-dimethylethy)]-benzoxazole. Acts as an optical brightener. Functions by absorbing ultraviolet radiation and remitting blue light; this emitted blue light reduces the yellow color of a polymer. Offers very good resistance to heat, exceptional whitening properties, good light fastness and low volatility. Produces brilliant brightness with dyestuff, which is very efficient in directions for multicolor. Highly effective in polymer substrates such as engineering plastics, PE, PC, PVC, PS, ABS, and PP, and other organic substrates. Used for applications like fiber, molded article, film and sheet.
