Stannous octoate. Acts as tin-based catalyst. Can be utilized neat or as a mixture in alcohols. It can be removed from esters via chemical methods or by adsorption. Possesses an incompatibility with oxidizers. Used in oleochemical esterification, curing of silicone resins and silanes & catalysis of lactone polymerization to form biodegradable polymers. Recommended to be used at concentrations ranging from 0.01 - 1.0 wt% at 80 - 240 °C.
