Decabromodiphenyl ethane. Acts as a flame retardant. Possesses very good thermal stability and high bromine content making it a prime candidate for high temperature applications. Exhibits good UV resistance and hence suitable for use in many applications requiring color stability. Can be used in a wide range of high performance applications, owing to its very good thermal stability and low blooming characteristics. Finds use in styrenic polymers, engineering resins, wire & cable and elastomers. Suitable for use in systems where recycling is anticipated. Is not acutaly toxic and teratogenic, not harmful to the environment.
