KBE 1003 by Shin-Etsu is vinyltriethoxysilane. Used as a coupling agent for polyethylene, polypropylene, diallylphtalate, unsaturated polyester, sulfur-crosslinked EPM and peroxide crosslinked EPDM.

It is solvent free and is suitable for organic solvent- and water-based system.
Mainly used for improving the heat resistance of polyethylene for electric wires.
KBE 1003 improves mechanical strength, moisture and chemical resistance and electrical properties.
