LOWILITE® 55 UV absorber by SI Group is benzotriazole-based ultraviolet light absorber. It possesses high degree of photostability. The photochemical energy absorbed in the ultraviolet region is dissipated as thermal energy. High absorptivity combined with photostability and the ability to release absorbed energy makes it a very good stabilizer against the detrimental effects of ultraviolet light. It is FDA approved. The shelf life of LOWILITE® 55 UV absorber is 3 years.
