LOWINOX® MD24 metal deactivator by SI Group is phenolic antioxidant. It is tailor-made for polyolefins and elastomers used in wire and cable insulation. This additive provides excellent protection from the auto-oxidation process. LOWINOX® MD24 metal deactivator is highly recommended when plastic parts are in direct contact with metal pieces (e.g. inserts), and especially in the case of polypropylene in contact with copper. It can be used in conjunction with phenolic antioxidants, phosphates, phosphonites, thio-synergists and other co- additives. It is FDA approved. The shelf life of the product is 4 years.
