LOTADER® AX8700

LOTADER® AX8700 by SK Functional Polymer is a reactive random terpolymer of ethylene, butyl acrylate and glycidyl methacrylate (epoxide function). Acts as an impact modifier, compatibilizer, adhesion promoter and modifier for bitumen applications. Produced by high-pressure polymerization process. It is reactive with -OH, -COOH, -NH2, and -SH chemical groups. Offers good adhesion to metallic surface, good thermal stability, and flexibility. LOTADER® AX8700 is compatible with thermoplastic polyesters (PBT/PET/PC) & their alloys (e.g. PC/PBT), tie layer of polyphenylene sulfides (PPS), and thermoplastic polyesters/polyolefins blends (PET/PO, PBT/PO). It is recommended for binders or tie layers in multilayer structures for the packaging industry, pipeline coatings, and cables. Is designed for use in coextrusion and extrusion. The shelf life of the grade is two years from the date of delivery, in unopened packaging.
