ST-NC38 by Starbetter Chemical Materials acts as a nucleating agent based on the third generation of diphenyl methylene sorbitol. It combines the first and second generation application characteristics. It maintains good nucleation efficiency and excellent clarifying effect of the second generation nucleating agent on PP resin. Applicable for PP homopolymer and random copolymer as well as LLDPE film. It eliminates the odor emission and improves thermal stability. It reduces the average size of PP spherulites evenly distributed microcrystals minimize diffraction for optimal optical performance, transparency and gloss. Suitable for twin screw compounding, injection and extrusion, and can be mixed with other additives for functional masterbatch preparation. ST-NC38 is recommended at a dosage rate of 0.2 % for RCP PP.
