STRUKTOL® HT 207

Technical DataSheet | Supplied by Struktol

Mixture of soaps and fatty acid esters. Acts as a processing aid. Can also acts as an external lubricant and release agent in non-polar elastomers. Has the tendency to accumulate at interfaces, results in reduced friction and tackiness. It shows improved extrusion rate and reduced mill roll sticking. Struktol® HT 207 softens readily and can easily be incorporated at temperatures above 65°C. Possesses surfactant character with certain alkalinity and activating effect upon the sulphur cure. It is strongly adsorbed to fillers, supports filler dispersion and breaking up of filler agglomerates leading to improved compound homogeneity as well as reduced compound viscosity. The effect is naturally strong with the polar mineral fillers. Struktol® HT 207 has been developed from environmental aspects and contains no heavy metals. Can replace zinc soaps previously used as processing additives. Used mainly for applications in natural and synthetic rubber. Recommended to be used at dosage of 2-5 phr.
