HXA UV-2908

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by The Hanson Group
HXA UV-2908 by The Hanson Group is hexadecyl 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoate. It acts as a hindered hydroxybenzoate light stabilizer. It offers significant advantages when used in combination with antioxidants and high-molecular weight HALS light stabilizers. Possesses low volatility, low color and good solubility/migration balance. HXA UV-2908 provides high compatibility with a variety of polymers and resin compositions. It depends on the substrate and performance requirement of the final application. It is FDA sanctioned to 0.5% in polyolefins. Used for polyolefins, polycarbonate, PVC and polyester. Its non-basic nature makes it especially ideal for the systems containing brominated flame retardants or thioester type antioxidants where the adverse effects usually take place when a traditional basic HALS is used. HXA UV-2908 is recommended for protection at dosage between 0.1% and 0.25%.
