PEPTON® 22

PEPTON® 22 by Thomas Swan is 2,2'dibenzamido diphenyl disulphide-based peptizer. It is effective at temperatures in excess of 120°C and reduces mastication time & energy requirements, giving increased production capacity. It disperses readily at mixing temperatures.

• The peptizing action is inhibited by sulfur, so compounded rubbers undergo no further viscosity change on storage.
• It is permitted under the American FDA regulations for use in rubbers coming into contact with foodstuffs.
• Its recommended dosage level is 0.2 to 0.5 phr in natural rubber and synthetic polyisoprene & 1.5 to 3.0 phr in SBR and nitrile elastomers.
• PEPTON® 22 has a shelf life of 12 months.
