PowerSorb™ 1577 by TinToll (PCC Group) is a low volatility, ultraviolet light absorber. It is a 2-(4,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-5-[(hexyl)oxy]-phenol. It allows polycarbonate and polyesters to achieve a higher resistance to weathering than conventional UV absorber. PowerSorb™ 1577 shows good compatibility with polyolefins such as low and high density polyethylene, olefin copolymers (EPR, EPDM, EVA), polypropylene, and other polymers including polyvinyl chloride, polyesters, natural & synthetic resins, polystyrene and ABS.
