PowerSorb™ 234

PowerSorb™ 234 by TinToll (PCC Group) is a high molecular weight ultraviolet light absorber. It is a 2-[2-hydroxy-3,5-di-(1,1-dimethylbenzyl)]-2H-benzotriazole. It imparts excellent light stability. It is highly effective for polymers processed at high temperatures such as polycarbonates, polyalkylene terephthalates, polyacetals, polyamides, polyphenylene sulfide, polyphenylene oxide, aromatic copolymers, thermoplastic polyurethane, polyurethane fibers, polyvinylchloride, styrene homo- and copolymers. It is soluble in benzene, cyclohexane, ethyl acetate, n-hexane, methanol, dichloromethane, butylcarbitol, butylacetate and ethylglycol. PowerSorb™ 234 is recommended for molded article, film, sheet and fiber applications.
