Hexabromocyclododecane. It acts as a brominated aliphatic flame retardant for styrene based systems such as expanded and extruded polystyrene foams. Due to its high aliphatic bromine content, it results in lower loading and minimum effect on polymer physical properties. It is available in white powder as well as in granular form also and used in a wide range of textiles.
